Your favourite David Bowie

My parents would play Bowie when I was a kid and I remember listening to Space Oddity and every time feeling profoundly sad in a way that was infused with the romance of the sublime smallness of humanity, the unknown, loneliness, stars, floating in a tin can. For me there is a direct and clear line to this feeling and the most in significant influences on my creative life.

So my favourite David Bowie is sad, beautiful David Bowie

What is yours?

Another legend that belongs to the ages.  I think his last album was his way of saying goodbye.

"The man who sold the world" right now, though Nirvana definitely did that song well, too.

Re: Your favourite David Bowie

For me it is also Space Oddity which brings on a melancholic feeling, a wistfulness about human kind their follies and foibles.
