Somewhat disturbing. Makes you want to know about the story. What caused her cuts, and why? Why is that girl naked on the ice?

It's from Ryan McGinley's new show "Winter". Shooting would have been so grueling for the models. I sure hope there was a hot tub nearby, or at least some people backstage with blankets ready to swaddle the models after every shot.

I really like the contrast between her blood and the bright blue ice in that photo. It reminds me of a show I saw at NGV in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago, "The Enclave" by Richard Mosse. He shot scenes of war in the Congo on colour infra-red film, turning all the greens of the jungle into shades of magenta. An eerily beautiful representation of a horrific subject.

So happy to be listening to the insanely talented Melbourne DJ/producer Chiara Kickdrum https://soundcloud.com/chiarakickdrum/ckd-trough-xvii
and editing an exceptional shoot from a new IShotMyself contributor today. She broke ISM's "hand on camera" rule, but we'll let it slide this time because she did it so damn well.

Lol! I gotta watch that movie, I've put it off for far too long!

You should! It's so whimsical and beautiful, like all of the Studio Ghibli films. My Neighbour Totoro is another of my favourites. Elsa even has a totoro tattoo ^.^

Would you like to see one of mine ... A lovely woman and amazing model!

Very pretty, bateleur! I like the glancing backlight, the dimness, the sharpness and detail in her skin. It has a voyeuristic feel, she seems completely wrapped up in the moment with no awareness of the camera so close to her. I can see why IFM would suit your taste .

Beautiful colours Bateleur! I really like the deep rich tones and the way the light wraps around her body. Nice!

Photographers are my new inspiration, as every 3D artist should expose themselves to more of their work in order to better develop their own talent!...Ok, bad puns aside lol, where's your gallery/DA page?
My desktop background...
Love the pose and composition, you should check out yuni over at DA out as well...They're taking androgynous contortion into the stratosphere, though admittedly, their artwork is pretty much not the norm in any sense of the word, which is why it's so compelling for me!

Boldly I followed the link.... Did I reach your page? If so yours is a very different form of artwork and frankly I'm amazed by what I see. Art larger than life, I'll hang around there a bit if I may and browse more of your fabulous work. You asked about my online presence, there's not much I'm afraid ...

Yeah TZO2K16, is that your DA page? If so, wow, so detailed and lifelike, but at the same time superhumanly perfect.
I had a look at Yuni as well but since I don't have an account any more I couldn't see any of the 'mature' deviations (which is most of them). But from what I could see I definitely agree, he/she is certainly pushing the limits of portraying bodies in extreme yet almost believable positions.
I don't know if you know (or want to know) this but like the characters in Yuna's art I'm also particularly bendy. Here I am doing a thing with my arm in the feck office right now, I took two photos and couldn't decide which was better so why not post both...
I can still do right leg splits and centre splits pretty much any time without warming up. I put it down to genetics and doing calisthenics (an Australian dance sport like rhythmic gymnastics) for 8 years.

haha dev wow! I was like, thats not so hard I can do that! so I tried...
SNORT. you are so flexi, that's amazing. I am SO close to vertical splits on both sides now with the new excercise thing I've been doing (bar method) which is also revolutionising my posture... but yeah this elbow thing so good. Also you're so beautiful, and also I miss you <3

Hey Viva! Thanks! You're nearly there too.
Barre classes are fun, I still do them maybe once a week after work as well... but I've gotten more into yoga recently because I fucked up my knees doing too many barre classes with bad technique. I hope your technique is better than mine haha. I miss you too <3. Your pixie cut is really suiting your face, and I love the swaddled bedroom selfie.

Did you work on flexibility to get that shoulder extension or is it just natural?
I did a month of yoga and loved it... even feeling love for yoga was exciting because previously I really hated it. It was too hard for me to sustain concentration and presence in an hour long body-focused environment. But since leaving the desk job at feck, I've been exploring different kinds of exercise and it has changed my relationship with my body so much. I've done running, heavy weights, bodyweight fitness, yoga, flexibility/handstand training, and now exploring barre... its been amazing just to feel so much stronger and more in tune with my body over time. I don't know what I'll eventually end up settling with but the exploration is just so exciting. I have so much less pain, more energy and more ease of communication with my body.
I was hoping barre would help with my knees not the opposite! I have one knee that's especially odd. What did you do to fuck up knees there? I want to avoid!! I've been going almost every day in May so far and I really feel different in back and arms. They say if you do the thigh work on tiptoes it protects your knees.
My yoga studio is called People's Yoga, I think you would love it. It's like queer and every shape of body yoga, and people are just very interesting and varied and the fashion is super cool too and the yoga itself is deep and good but also very lenient, supportive, emotionally gentle and occasionally extra fun one teacher in particular kind of kicks your ass but then calls for a 5 second dance party where you shake everything out before getting back to all the serious breathing and balancing. it's really fun
