Re: I know I'm the only one who thinks this...

Hardly surprising, seeing as it used to ba a Spanish colony before the US acquired it.

Edit: Or at least completely Spanish speaking. Maybe it was mexican... I'm not very good at history... big_smile
Also, I'm drunk

Tommy, not "Tommie". I'm sorry - I started this trend. Now she'll probably never talk to me again, or even once for that matter.

Ah don't worry about it. I can't imagine her getting upset about anything.

I love you like I love Monday, mornings and my half litre cup of tea. Now there's an oxymoron if ever I saw one.

Or as a wise man once said:
Whatever happened to my rock ’n’ roll party? Whatever happened to the action I was hosting, in the night of my subtraction? Whatever happened to the hawtness parked in my sofa? Whatever happend to the sweetness I touched, the inner of the thigh I stroked in all earnest, with no intention other than to stroke it? Whatever happened to my crowd of boozers, losers, choosers and coolers? The peopole I gathered, to scattter, when I see fit? Whatever happenes to my entorurage? Whatever happend to the pieces of heaven I held? What ever happened to my rock ‘n’ roll party? When did it end?

With some emphasis, particularly the last sentence!

Re: I know I'm the only one who thinks this...

I get Mondays off smile but I never get a bank holiday. which is unfair and I should really get a day off some other time during the week instead. Sounds like you've had a good time nowaysis, you just lay your head on the floor and sleep it off smile

Sweet dreams smile

I just though actually Tommie has a similar way of talking to an x of mine from South America. Seems like California has a fair amount of latin influence in the accent?.

I've just watched Tommy's 'Euphoria' submission again, and she says at the start "right ah cayn't do it with a skirt on...". I reckon that hippy school she went to was somewhere in the country out thataways.

If you're interested in a documentary that follows the evolution of the Engligh language throughout the world, have a go at looking for Melvyn Bragg's "The Adventure of English".

Well... there was nothing in my dark side that really interested me. I guess I just dont have what it takes to be a bad guy.

I would just like to interject that Liandra has one of the singularly most alluring voices ever.
