Generally, things are simple to handle if we begin by the beginning, I, first, tried to send you a song by J.Brel, then pics of flowers from my garden, then some words of my own, expressing my gratitude, then real flowers, with a credit card and a Mac it's so easy...,but I had not your addresses, and the last which is left to me is warm kisses which won't hurt you, I hope!

I'll be happy with warm kisses any time Jolli.

Re: home.

Here is what Jolicrasseux is talking about. It's a Tintoretto. This was a popular subject for Renaissance painters; the biblical story was an excuse to paint a voyeurism scene... Rembrandt did a "Susana at the bath" too. I think this one is the one in the Vienna Art Museum that he's talking about.

Re: home.

I like the first picture.  The one where the guy in blue is surreptitiously lifting the girl's sheet.  It looks like he is about to receive a slap across the face for his cheek smile.

His Lordship, humbly kneeling in front of Your Highness, I saw the palace which is devoted to your housing! in no way, my modest hovel would stand a kopeck compared to your so merited  parsonage.
Ave, His Lordship! I present at your feet all my thanks...
I heard that you are sometimes butterflying above a well fed by abby springs...
eventually, you might have met Ariel, an ancient goddess, who, as Suzan, used to bath naked spied by 2 very old men. I address you some little kisses that, in my country, we name "bisous".

Re: home.

I know this is going to sound extremely naive, but I genuinely didn't stop to consider that the Bishop of Bath & Wells might actually still be a real person today. To me, the Bishop was simply a character featured in a particularly funny episode of Blackadder.

He even merits quite a lengthy mention on Wikipedia........

Perhaps a namechange might be in order? What does everyone think?

No No No No No!!! You are the definitive Bish as far as I'm concerned.  When I first subscribed to BA and made my first hesitant, nervous post on the forum there It was you who welcomed me.  I was chuffed that such a distinguished member of the forum and one who I had come to respect so much had taken the trouble to say hello.  The sites just wouldn't be the same without their Bish.
